Colorado Springs: Restaurant Guide

My Street tacos

La Hacienda

This Mexican restaurant blew me away! I felt like I was in Texas again. The food was so good – especially the hand-pressed flour tortillas. I ordered their street tacos, which were made even better by some fabulous slices of avocado. To make it even better, there was a band playing outside near where we sat. Afterwards, we had a blast dancing along to the music. Definitely check this place out if you’re in Colorado Springs, and be sure to come on an empty stomach!

What makes this restaurant so unique is that part of it is inside an airplane! Although the food was ok here (not bad, but not great), this restaurant is definitely worth checking out because the atmosphere is so cool. Inside the plane, you can even go inside the cockpit and play around with the controls.

Honestly, I’m not quite sure how to describe this place. According to its website, it’s the world’s largest family pizza restaurant. The inside is filled with authentic Victorian period detailing – which is even reflected in the dress of the staff. My aunt and mom had come to this place when they were kids and wanted to come back again. It was certainly very interesting, and the pizza was good!

Sadly, we didn’t have time to go to this restaurant, but the concierge recommended it. It has two locations, one in Colorado Springs and one in Manitou Springs, so if you’re leaving Pike’s Peak, the Manitou Springs location could be a great stop for a meal.
