The Camino de Santiago is an incredible once-in-a-lifetime journey that I recommend anyone undertake. I personally have hiked three Caminos solo: the Francés in 2023 and both Portugués routes in 2025. Now I’m here to share everything I know about the Camino to help you as you consider and plan to undertake this incredible pilgrimage.

Learn more about the Camino Francés, also known as the French Way, with these articles. This has been the most popular Camino route since the 11th century and for good reason. It has an incredible mix of landscapes, history, and a special Camino spirit.
Camino Portugués
Read more about the Camino Portugués, also known as the Portuguese Way, including the Central, Coastal/Litoral, and Spiritual Variant routes. These are the most popular routes after the Francés, and the Coastal route is the fastest growing of all the Camino routes.
