Accommodations

These are my favorite sites to use when booking hotels, homes, and hostels.

Booking.com

You can often find the best deals on Booking.com. Plus, the more you use the platform, you’ll be able to unlock additional discounts and perks. For instance, at level 2, I have unlocked free breakfasts and 15% off stays at thousands of hotels.

Vrbo

If you’re looking for a rental house or apartment, I recommend checking out Vrbo. I like Airbnb too, but tend to look at both platforms. Vrbo has thousands of options as well, tends to have lower fees, and often has better customer service.

Hostelworld

When looking for hostels, there’s simply no better platform than Hostelworld. There are tons of filters to help you find the right place, and as the most popular platform for finding hostels, Hostelworld has plenty of reviews to help you make a decision.

Tours and Activities

I used to always just look for free things to do when I travel, but I’ve since found that I prefer to book some guided tours and activities on my trips. I find they really enhance the experience, and I’m able to get so much more out of the trip.

Viator

A Tripadvisor company, Viator is the largest global experiences marketplace. The platform offers over 300,000 experiences all over the world.

GetYourGuide

GetYourGuide has many tour options as well. I recommend looking at GetYourGuide in addition to Viator when looking for experiences to book.

Additional Travel Resources

Here’s what I use for cell service abroad, travel health insurance, travel gear, and more.

Airalo eSim

You don’t have to break the bank to get cellular data abroad. I personally use and really like Airalo eSim for coverage. The company offers a variety of plans at affordable options for single countries and multi-country regions.

SafetyWing Nomad Health Insurance

You never know what might happen when you’re traveling abroad, so getting health insurance coverage is so important. I love SafetyWing Nomad travel health insurance. It’s affordable and easy!

REI Outdoor Apparel

Whenever I buy hiking and outdoor adventure gear, I almost always get it from REI. As a Co-Op member, I love that I can return most items within a year, even if I’ve worn them. Plus, I know that anything I get at REI is sure to be high quality.

Amazon for Other Travel Essentials

Amazon tends to be my go-to for all other travel essentials. It’s especially helpful to get fast shipping when I’m in a pinch before a trip! From toiletries, to first aid gear, and clothing items you can’t find at REI, you can get anything you might need.

Credit Cards for Travel Points

I’m forever obsessed with my travel credit cards and other complementary cards that I use to rack up travel points. Thanks to them, I’ve been able to get TONS of free flights all over the world. Email me to get my recommendations!
