Things I Miss While Studying Abroad
On Wednesday, I shared with you the things I love about Spain and the city I’m studying in, Sevilla. While there’s a lot to love about exploring and living in a new country, there are some things I miss about the United States. Here’s the list:
- Soap and toilet paper in all public restrooms
- Air conditioning – I don’t know how the Sevillanos can live this way all summer (temperatures were over 100 degrees this past summer)
- Casual clothing (You’d never find a Spaniard outside of their home in a T-shirt, Norts and a baseball cap)
- Cars
- Of course my family and friends
- And my two sweet dogs
- Completely understanding everything (What a luxury!)
- Customer service
- Waiters that talk to you
- Long showers
- Not being harasses as much to buy things I don’t want
- Not being scammed or ripped-off
- Straight hair (I was going to buy a straightener, but the cheapest one at El Corte Inglés was around 60 euros.)
- My entire closet
- MEXICAN FOOD
- Also pizza, but I have seen some good looking pizza here
- Friendlier people
